Enter with a Pail and a Mop SOLD @ RRFAS 6-15

One of my traveling brothers ( have several) sent me some photos he took while in Europe. I love this gate and the greenery..  I added the lady, the bike, and the plant.  I really love this.. I used my #16 Silver Black Velvet brush on the whole painting.. what a honey of a brush..  i could paint loosely and tightly @ the same time..  Once again my art pals helped out with their critique.. they saw that the HOE i had in her hand looked like a PLUNGER... i changed it to look like a mop, i hope.

Rides

I found a small painting board in my pile of art stuff, that someone gave me. What to paint, What to paint?? I had ripped a photo out of a magazine while we were in Oregon.  Of course the ocean was in the background.  I loved the bikes and wagons ( only put a couple in).. needed some humans so i put 3 kids to match the 3 rides and one kite.

Lady of the Lake SOLD @ RRFAS last week...

This was fun. Acrylic on canvas board. I just wanted to use the Magenta paint that i bought..  I have sketched several boat shapes and re-arranged them on the dark blue background. It turned out pretty stunning.  Some of my friends that critiqued it thought the Pink boat was a female boat being shunned by the mate boats..  weird concept, just sayin'...........

Sibling Rivalry SOLD @ Pekin 6-14

Oh my, i haven't painted little faces in a long time.  My 93 year old friend, Lucy, was cleaning out, what she called junk, old photos.  She gave me several, saying her family doesn't want them..eek.. This one was taken in 1926..Lucy and her siblings. I love the expressions and body language of these kids. I had sketched this first and was pleased with how it turned out.  I haven't shown it to Lucy as yet.
