Lilies R red

  

I really stretched my watercolor tactics on these.  reference was a photo i took (in the 90's)  of Carl's flowers.   Painted using Cad Red, Carmine and Gamboge pigment for the lilies.  decided to leave the background white ..background on photo was really dark, almost black..   ugh

8-25  I cropped and reframed this without using glass. I applied Dorland Wax Medium to the image.  it protects the pigment and paper.  Used one of my FFs (you know, free frames)
