Fuchsia, Fa La La



           Why didn't someone tell me that the green was so ugly?? Kinda like this better. Used a Cerulean Blue mixture, don't ya know, to cover the green!!

This fabulous fuchsia was hanging around in my son's yard in Oregon last summer when we visited.  i took a photo and used it as reference for this acrylic work.  the background was from my weird mind, using Hooker's Green.  It is a tough pigment to control and obviously to photograph.

Paintings from the 90's 9-22-25 "Open 9-6" SOLD at Touchmark Exhibit.


 
My Friend Hazel and her daughter, Ruth, purchased these paintings 20 some years ago.  Hazel sold her house and moved to assist living  AND I got them back.  I cropped and reframed them today.  need titles.. 

I've always thought those were Cornflowers and thought about calling it Corny-flowers.. but i realized they are coneflowers or echinacea . thanks google. . where is the humor in that??
