This is one of my first ever commissions. Reference was a photo in the newspaper. OS was a senator from our state, his son asked me to paint this. I hadn't seen it for 40 years or more and was pleased to find out the family has kept it around. I worked in oil then.
Those were the good days in our country and it wasn't difficult to "look at" and "listen to" our U.S. President, like it is now. ..
