As usual, after a workshop, I try to redo or "save" a work..this is the only one out of 5 that was a possibility. It was a value study on a 1/2 sheet (huge) done with Payne's Grey. I tore it in half and added a lot of color. Reference photo, I took in AK, was of this big boat deserted in the wilderness.. I added what may be ice or water to the foreground..

The ice cream lady Gifted
I painted this s couple of days b/4 the workshop. Tom, the instructor, would clutch his heart if he saw how "tightly" it is painted.. oh well. I used a photo I took of my grandson, owen, and his friend, Nathan, ordering ice cream from this unique European lady in Sisters, oregon. . I loved the light and anticipation on their sweet faces.

Red river watercolor society workshop
Just finished a week long workshop with
Tom Francesconi as our instructor. . It was so much fun. Great bunch of artist friends, of course, my best one, Bobbie, stayed with me.
My paintings turned out quite terrible. Sketches weren't too bad, but my pigment /water ratio was way off... Tom had a great sense of humor and wonderful demos..
