"My bucket has a frog in it" repainted and Sold at Gallery4

Our art group watched a video of an artist painting an old weathered bucket ( he put a bird in his) .  I painted this using paint i had squirted out to paint the fence posts on my last painting.  Friend, Sharon, gave me some small canvases so there ya go.  fun..

"Farm Hands" -Award and SOLD in Pekin 6-21

1. I so enjoyed painting these guys, then.  Flesh tones are difficult in acrylic, i find.  Love their stances and hats and expressions ... I put the fence in after gazing at it for a week or so thinking "this needs more" to tell the story.
2.  I've been thinking about adding more to this painting.. yesterday, I added some grass and a bit of green to the guys..  Photo has some glare, eek...
 3.   Well, it is now 9-2020.  I plan to enter this in the Pekin Show but felt it needed more.  My son, Matt, has a good art eye, suggested i make the bottom yellow half darker.  I used my Quin Gold with a bit of Perm Rose ..  it was scary but i like it.

Art at the Lake, Northern Pines, Park Rapid, Art Camp.....

Just got home for another (my 10th ) weekend at Art Camp..  we have slowed down a bit since the first couple of years.  went to bed at 9 30 the first night..  Sandy Muzzy was our instructor again. She is a wonderful artist and teacher.  We did maps of our lives, which brought out a lot of stories, memories, childhood events, etc, all that made us who we are today.  wow, that is profound, huh???

Clothes "on line" 9-22 Sold at Gallery4

Painted this acrylic using only about 5 colors plus white.  i painted the undercoating with quin Rose..  Really bright pigment but i love it.   Resource for this was a photo I took in north Fargo on my way to a birthday party.  Was lucky enough to have a stop sign right there.  couldn't believe the clothes hanging right out there in the front lawn. Whoever the laundry person was didn't use clothes pins.. they were just draped over the line..  Well, ya' gotta have clothes pins...
