"Wake Up" gifted to David

Our Hjemkomst painting group are all attempting to paint 'Bob Burridge" style cup paintings this month.. it will be fun to see what everyone comes with.  They will be exhibited at the Hjemkomst for the world to see.   My chicken image is from a photo of my grandson, David, with a rescued chicken..

Art Talk

I was asked to talk a little about my art that is exhibited at Trinity Lutheran in Moorhead, today.. It was so fun, not a large group but a very interested group.  It helps to have a story with each painting and most of them are true..

A Blizzard in early October?  that is so North Dakota, don't ya think?
I painted this during it.  i sketched these chick out of a magazine. Loved their stance and goofiness.

I put the background in by using left over paint from another "update"of an older work.  while it was wet, i used the little brush that comes with hair dye, yes, hair dye, to make the marks.. purely an accident. Still fascinated with the cardinal, thinking of Carl's spirit..
