my favorites 9-16-25 Sold "4 views" today at the G4 Celebration

These three kinda newish paintings look like they all came from the same palette of colors.. guess what!  They did-- my favorite pigments. life is good..

Cat needed some color. I used Acrylic for the animal. wah lah!  now it is Mixed Media....... 

7-'26         I threatened to add an animal..    Had trouble making it look comfortable.  oh well. 

2-18-26  Got this back from Jamestown Show and cropped it and added a bit more color.                       Tis better, i think.  Probably should've added an animal.  eek     

                     I sketched this one of  my chair, while sitting in my other chair.  

I first learned how to do watercolor by painting furniture and by wetting each shape b/4 applying the pigment.  Theme for July at G4 is "Escape Room " I made up the plant, as you all probably know, plants don't survive here in my Sitting Room.    

 

Chicken in the Wood Pile GONE cause it was on the back of another colored pencil bird painting that sold

 this colored pencil painting needed some "darks"..   i added some watercolor pigment to it and it helped a great deal.. now it is a mixed media painting...   

 She ? doesn't look very friendly.  

That One Day in May

 My "across the street" neighbors have these beautiful apple trees that bloom for a day or two.. until the wind blows.  took a photo of this one from my side door.  Love the Pink.   

4-30-25   This so needed more color. I darkened sky and shadows today.  I really like the large tree now, with the open spaces around the branches.  Sky is a little wonky but darker.  

"I"ll have what he's having" Gifted to nephew Joe

 sketched these faces awhile ago in my tablet of w/c paper, using a photo i took 30 years ago at the Dresden museum sausage breakfast.  I painted it last night and it developed into this.  Title cracks me up, not sure why.

8-3-26  Added some variety to pears and whatever.. 

9-3-25  Just felt like doing it....  i repainted this oldie last night. so much better. got rid of the extra coaster and the awful grey foreground and oh ya', the clown faces.    

 

I painted this "Three is a Pear" painting in 2010.  it was gifted to a family member until 3 years ago, when i got it back.  I have exhibited it at the gallery and in several shows.  Yesterday I brought it home and today I messed it up real good, but had a giggling good time doing it. It is Acrylic. 

 5-5-24  Today i changed the title.  there is a lot of evil that is ignore and accepted in our society..

 Moving art around at G4 this month.  Brought this home and gave it the hack saw treatment ..  had a 11"x 14" matt with a tish of green..  i added a tish of green to painting ..  always sad to cut up a watercolor but "oh well"..  it's cozier, if nothing else..
