This is one of my first ever commissions. Reference was a photo in the newspaper. OSJ was a senator in our state, his son asked me to paint this. I hadn't seen it for 40 years or more and was pleased to find out the family has kept it around. I worked in oil then.
Those were the good days in our country and it wasn't difficult to "look at" and "listen to" our U.S. President, like it is now. ..
Do remember that picture and it was a totally different world than what we are experiencing today. Very calming Judi...
